Our Mission

Divinity Foundation's (House of Divinity) mission is to

create wholesome leaders of tomorrow, minister to the

broken spirited, and strengthen the diverse

communities in which we live by fostering positive

development of disadvantaged youth/young adults

through counsel and compassion with a sister's heart.

With concerted efforts of a myriad generations and

cultures, we are striving to create healthy individuals

in order to guide them into successfully transformed

spiritual, mental, emotional and behavioral life patterns.

Divinity Foundation (House of Divinity) is a family

focused, community driven,  youth/young adult

empowerment and developmental non-profit

organization serving financially deprived individuals

 with emotional/mental destress, physical abuse,

sexual orientation challenges and suicidal ideation.

We lead by servanthood in order for our youth to live,

 grow and to serve others.

Your Giving Matters!

In-Kind Donations

        Through the generosity of

          community minded

individuals such as yourselves,

 Divinity Foundation was able

 to bless hundreds of school

 aged children with leather

 belts (which is a required

uniform necessity that many

 can not afford).

Sharing Is Caring

Divinity Foundation cared for

the well-being and feet of our

 community's children in order

for them to run into their

academic purpose by fulfilling

the year with their basic needs

 of personal care items and

 socks given. We care by

sharing... Join Us!

Community Giving

When like minded, good

 hearted family & friends come

 together during a season of

giving in order to put a smile

on a child's face we win.

 Divinity Foundation was able

to bring cheer and toys of love

to a multitude of children by

 adopting an under privileged

school in New Orleans 9th ward.

According to an article published in August 2023 by Newport Academy, statistics from the Trevor Project National Survey on LGBTQ Youth Mental Health 2022 states:

  • LGBTQ youth were 3.5 times as likely to attempt suicide as their heterosexual peers.
  • Rates of attempting suicide among trans teens were 5.87 times higher than the average among all teens.
  • Gay and lesbian youth were 3.71 times more likely to attempt suicide.
  • Bisexual youth were 3.69 times more likely to attempt suicide than teens who identified as heterosexual.
  • 70 percent of LGBTQ teens experienced symptoms of anxiety in the past year.
  • 57 percent of LGBTQ teens experienced symptoms of depression.
  • Among all LGBTQ youth surveyed (ages 13–24), 81 percent wanted mental healthcare in the past year.
  • However, 56 percent of those youth were unable to access care.

In addition to difficulty at home, LGBTQ youth often face bullying, threats of injury, and sexual violence. The following data on LGBTQ teenagers comes from the Youth Risk Behavior Survey:

  • 10 percent were threatened or injured with a weapon on school property
  • 34 percent were bullied on school property
  • 28 percent experienced cyberbullying
  • 23 percent who had dated someone during the 12 months before the survey had experienced sexual dating violence
  • 18 percent students had experienced physical dating violence
  • Another 18 percent had been forced to have sexual intercourse at some point in their lives.

As a result, LGBTQ students were 140 percent more likely than their heterosexual peers to skip school.
